Should I go for a diabetes test?
My dad found out he had diabetes yesterday but wasn’t surprised as it runs in the family (my dads diabetes can be controlled by diet for now), He is making my older sister who is 16 have a test to see if she has it. I am now wondering If I should go get a test I am 13 but i am not sure because last year when I was ill the doctor made me do a urine test and said he would call if they found anything but they didn’t call. I am now wondering if I need to go to get a diabetes test because would they have found it in the urine test last year? I have had a few of the symptons but haven’t really thought about it until now.
By the way they wasn’t testing for diabetes in the urine sample last year.
Hi, i think that you should because diabetes is becoming more common in Teens more than ever. I was tested for it when i was 9 and i testes positive and i am now 13. I get where you are coming from and i really think you should. think if you found out now your life could be easier because you would start being healthier earlier. i hope that i helped and good luck. ~CET~
