I have diabetes (no insulin) and, recently, my doctor told me to take 100 mg of Januvia once a day …?
I 25 years and I have diabetes a few years ago after getting sick in Mexico (speculation is that the virus has attacked the pancreas). 'm Not taking insulin, but has recently been made on JANUVIA 100 mg once daily. It has not helped now my doctor wants me to take drugs metformin or with something called Januvia … I wonder why I have to keep taking Januvia it does not work?? I'm not comfortable with that. Thanks
What essentially happened is that Januvia increases the synthesis and release of insulin and metformin on the body reduces the amount of glucose production in the body and help increase insulin sensitivity. That is why he prescribed. Now I want to see if you can go on Janumet. I just checked the price differences and the combination is a lot cheaper than having separately.
